Trip Report: The Ritz-Carlton Cancun – 2013

Updated: Jul 2, 2021

We spent Thanksgiving week at The Ritz-Carlton Cancun to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Once again, we had an absolutely wonderful time (see also 2007 and 2011). We stayed in a lovely Ocean View Suite which had nearly 900 square feet of space, one and half bathrooms, and beautiful ocean views.

Our days were spent mainly on the beach, although we did enjoy the Quiet Pool one afternoon. The waves can be big, especially when compared to the Caribbean, but it makes the swimming more fun. Make sure you rent a Beach Villa for at least one day!

The service was spectacular, the food was delicious, and the sunshine was plentiful. Cancun truly offers a great value for luxury beach resorts, and it’s an easy destination to reach with many flight options. Boston and New York fliers can be there in time for lunch on the day of arrival!

The complimentary Virtuoso amenities for 2014 are as follows:

  1. Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability

  2. Daily Buffet breakfast, for up to two in room guests

  3. $100 USD Resort or Hotel credit, to be utilized during stay

  4. (not combinable, not valid on room rate, no cash value if not redeemed in full)

  5. Early check-in/late check-out

  6. subject to availability

Ready to book your trip to Cancun? You can’t VIP yourself, so get in touch!

Note: I received a reduced rate for travel advisors.
