Trip Report: Four Seasons Buenos Aires

Updated: Jul 8, 2021

Four Seasons Buenos Aires

There is no happier phrase for the weary traveler than “confirmed early check in”. After traveling half way around the world, from summer into winter, I was comforted knowing that once I arrived at the Four Seasons Buenos Aires my room would be ready and waiting for me.

The rooms have been recently renovated and have a nice sense of place. The decor includes a mix of materials associated with Argentina such as leather and silver, as well as details evocative of equestrian gear. My room said Buenos Aires, without screaming it. I was in the lead-in room category, a City-View Room, and it was spacious for one person and would be perfectly adequate for two.

Sitting Area

The layout was functional with a small hall, and large walk in closet. This was followed by a small, but perfectly appointed bathroom (except for the absence of a shaving platform in the shower) with a water closet and separate tube and shower. The bathroom has sliding barn-type doors that open into the bedroom to all for natural light in an otherwise windowless space.

I utilized the desk to get some work done and it was functional. I appreciated all of the outlets tucked away next to the desk, as well as the US plug adapter that was provided. My favorite feature was that the desk had two chairs. I find it awkward when two guests order from room service and one person has to lug over an armchair that is often at the incorrect height in order to dine at the table. Well done Four Seasons!

I went for a quick run in the gym, which is located near the spa and the outdoor heated pool. The gym has everything you would need for a good workout, including my favorite amenity, chilled towels. The gym is two rooms and the photo below is of the cardio room.

In terms of dining, there is buffet at breakfast that is every bit as good as you would imagine. Since I arrived so early on my first day, I ended up having breakfast on property twice. My one dinner was the delicious Burrata Sandwich at Pony Line.

I enjoyed my one night stay at the Four Seasons Buenos Aires. Great staff, comfortable and inviting room product, and the amenities and services commensurate with a five star hotel.
